Do read the board rules.
Since January 1st, there's a zero tolerance policy: so far 40 people didn't bother.
Their accounts have been deleted.
Please keep this in mind:
Routine: handles some sort of aftermath, e.g. asking which clothes to wear
Session: a series of continuous instructions
Script: contains 24/7-aspects: assignments, punishments,... Can also include routines and sessions.
Script writers: please publish a Freya-ready version of your creations, as the beta has become the main release.

The final version - including all new tools - is still months away.

However, I have decided to change the way it's being developed.

I'll bring back the concept of a public beta for Star Members only. One of the requisites for being a Star Member, is being aware of the board rules and being active (this can be accomplished in various ways - see the announcement about it).

It will change a bit though. I'm polishing some new major changes, which will still take some time (not too much I hope).
Then I'll try to supply new builds through the update tool again if possible, which would give Star Members access to the very latest versions of CyberMistress and the Content Center. It is possible you'll need to download the setup once again at some point if there are other major changes, but I think most of them will be behind us once the new public beta is released.

This way, more people will be testing, more people will give feedback and development might go smoother as well.

For those who would like to know when CM Freya will be available to everyone:

I had it scheduled for somewhere at the end of September, beginning of December 2010 - when development of CM stops.
The good news is that I've reconsidered and that it will most likely be somewhere in May.

Mind that this is only a plan, not a promise.

I am very happy about your revised schedule since patience is not one of my strong points. No, I won't hold you to it but it is something for me to look forward to.

I have done some programming in C/C++ and I know how time consuming it can be. I have the problem of never having it done. I always want to add this or tweak that. I'm not saying you have that trait it is my problem.

I really appreciate the update. Thanks for all your hard work.

I do have that trait, but I've decided I'll stop the development cycle end of September or beginning of December.
Either 4 or was it 5 years after the first steps of development or after the first publication.

If you're impatient, just read the announcement about how to become a Star Member (it's free) and you can already enjoy a very stable version.

Thanks Kenneth. I appreciate the reply. I have read the rules and FAQ's. I don't believe in posting to get my numbers up. Besides being against the rules it's just bad manners and a waste of everyones time. When I have something to contribute I will post, when I don't I will lurk. I was a SYSOP for a BBS, a long time ago as you can tell by the terminology. That is one reason I appreciate your efforts so much.

I would love to be a Beta tester or star member, but I can wait if the alternative is to waste other peoples times by making frivilous and/or duplicate posts.

Thanks again for all of your hard work.

The new release date makes me rather excited.
CM quickly became my favorite program during a two month period where I, for what ever reason, became extremely horny. I have sense calmed down but I'm still really looking forward to Freya.

Respectful and honest feedback from a lurker, with no previous programming experience.
I have been making some progress perfecting my script from time with cm kala, experimenting here and there when I can be bothered. I seem to have trouble useing gifs for pictures, that would be a great improvement, and i have noticed that sharing routines is rather hard as often it requires a whole new picture set, and there is no way to conveniently install the code or at least the ones i have tried weren't set up that way. I haven't looked into any skins or anything, the look of the program feels like an important factor that is lacking, and I kinda wish the program icon was a bit more ... sinister. I'm finding the customization fairly easy, when I can be bothered. Though I can tell many wouldn't. Many times though the program just doesn't have enough presence (or me the willingness) to successfully command me.....though might have something to do with my lack of using timers.

All that said I really like your creation and appreciate the hard work you have put into it!
And I can't wait to see your next version and its improvements when you release it to the public.

Thanks for your replies.

I'm aware of the .GIF-problem. It's a limitation of the default control I use for the pictures.
I'm not sure if it's possible or if I have limited it, but instead of picture=yourgif.gif, try play=yourgif.gif

Sharing sessions will be easier. Basic sessions can easily be turned into a .CMP-file for import/export.

Yes, the converter is fixed.
The Script Manager and Milovana Converter have been combined into one new, improved tool.

Will there be any chance of just the updated converter being released for Kala?

No promise Here but when freya is out I am planning to look over at Donatella's program and if I can get the permission of the author I will try to fix it and maybe add some new steps/assignment to it.

Like someone said earlier..... not a promise but a plan :)
